From a graph to the equipment
Dave described water-use patterns that led to a failed solenoid valve, an open ball valve and a leaking washroom toilet. The readings helped establish that water was flowing when the team expected it to stop. Finding the physical cause still meant going into the facility and working through the equipment.
The next part was just as useful: watching the flow after the repair. Monitoring showed the effect of the work and gave us a basis for an alert if unexpected flow returned.
We also discussed longer projects involving cooling towers, heat exchangers and air compressors. Looking at related readings together helped the teams follow equipment performance and the effect of operational changes.
Working with the equipment already there
Tom showed how we can bring readings from existing devices into the dashboard. The discussion included equipment outputs, existing software connections and a temperature-monitoring example where a team needed a longer history for quality checks.
The questions at the end covered network separation, dashboard customization, sensor maintenance and support. We explained our read-only monitoring approach and how a separate cellular connection can carry readings from the facility.
We also talked about our regular meetings with clients. Looking at the data together gives operators a chance to explain a change, identify what needs attention and decide what to investigate next.
